The services provided through this program include:

● A dental screening/exam (no x-rays)

● Prophylaxis, Fluoride, and Dental Sealants, if eligible

● Classroom and individual education on oral hygiene and sealants 

● Information on oral health and sealants for parents

● Referrals for children who need restorative or emergency care 

These services are provided on-site at Kane County Elementary and Middle schools in districts U-46, 131, and 300.  The Kane County Dental Coalition would like to expand the program to every school district in Kane County that has a student population of 50% or more that qualify for free and reduced-fee lunch or a rural school district that has a median income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level for the entire district.
