Kane
County’s new property maintenance law takes effect in the unincorporated
areas of the county on May 1, 2008. The basic goal of property maintenance
is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public, as well
protecting property values. The new law also applies to property zoned for
farming if it not is used for agriculture.
