Access to reliable transportation is essential for maintaining health, attending appointments, and connecting with community resources. Below is a list of local transportation options to support your health and wellness. ​Ride in Kane

Ride in Kane provides 24/7 curb-to-curb transportation services for eligible Kane County residents. Seniors (65+) and individuals with disabilities may travel anywhere within Kane County and within municipalities that are partially in Kane County. Veterans may travel to approved locations.
  • ​Requirements: Proof of age or eligibility. One companion may ride free. 
  • Reservations: Required. Call:
    • Aurora area: 630-897-4035
    • Elgin area: 847-741-0404
  • Trips: Doctor appointments, grocery shopping, church, movies, and more.
  • Fare: $5.00 per trip (first 10 miles) + $2.00 per additional mile. Payment accepted via Ventra (at reservation) or exact cash onboard.

Senior Services Association-Volunteer Transportation Program

  • 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday
  • Can live in Mchenry, Kane and Kendall counties
  • Rides to needs base destinations including doctor appointments, bank, grocery store
  • Need to fill out application
  • Must be 60 or older and book rides several days in advance

Meridian & Youth Care
