Common issues like home maintenance and financial management are covered in this HUD-approved housing counseling and education service among other topics, such as local grants and funding that can help with home repairs. Our Foreclosure Prevention Service provides you with resources to prevent losing your home (like ILHAF Mortgage Assistance) and avoid possible foreclosure.

Two Rivers Head Start is a Community Action Agency of Kane County. We help low-income families reach self-sufficiency through emergency assistance for families in crisis needing immediate aid, case management, prevention services, and scholarships. Our emergency services can cover: Rental and utility assistance, Vision, Dental, and medication assistance (Mercy pharmacy); Emergency transportation: car repair, bus vouchers. We can provide financial assistance to families for tutoring at the Huntington Tutoring Center. Our organization also promotes the Kindergarten readiness of young children aged 3-5 years for income-eligible families; Two Rivers Head Start is a Federal program that promotes the school readiness of children from birth to age five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Two Rivers Head Start serves children ages 3-5 year of age.
