The Kane County Health Department, a department of county government, was founded in 1985 by resolution of the Kane County Board. The Health Department offers a full array of public health programs and is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Mission

To improve health outcomes by working in partnership with the community to understand the cultural, environmental, historical and social issues impacting our residents’ health so we can effectively direct resources and services in an equitable and inclusive manner.
