Empowered Pregnancy is a free montly program that provides education and resources to expecting parents. Topics include early pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding basics, newborn care, breathing and relaxation techniques.
Provides mentoring, rite of passage, leadership development, cultural connection, manhood/womanhood (adulthood) training, life skills, job/career readiness and social and emotional well-being to at risk youth ages 7-21.

High Risk Infant Follow-Up Program (HRIF) provides home / telehealth visits by a nurse with advanced knowledge of high-risk infant care. This support opens a door of learning opportunities and development for your baby during the first two years of life.
The Kane County Sheriff's Office special victims unit serves the unincorporated area of Kane County. The special victims unit umbrellas senior services, serious crimes against minors, domestic violence and sexual assault victims. The SVU focuses on investigating crimes, as well as offers social work support for community members in need of services. These services include: mental health support, substance use, juvenile complaints, hoarding, homelessness, veteran assistance, and any case requiring social services.
The KCSO also offers the A Way Out program, which provides substance abuse assessment 24/7 to anyone in Kane County that wishes to seek recovery. Appropriate inpatient or outpatient referral and placement are determined by assessment and based on availability. If you are unable to pay for treatment due to a lack of insurance or financial resources, you will not be turned away from participation in the program. Kane County works with providers that are able to accept a number of different insurance plans and accommodate those without insurance.

The Preschool Program at Summit School Early Learning Center is designed to provide a high quality preschool program that supports children who may be at risk of not progressing at a rate anticipated for potential success in kindergarten. Summit School Early Learning Center currently is awarded funding by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to provide a Preschool For All program, and the Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide a Title XX Program. These programs are offered at no cost to families.
The Place for Children with Autism provides ABA therapy (i.e., autism therapy) to children ages 2-6 with autism. Therapy is provided in a full-day (8am-4pm) pre-school like setting. We work on increasing communication, social skills, independent living skills (e.g., toilet training), and preparing children with school-readiness skills. Given that the program is in a school-like setting, there is a large emphasis on teaching appropriate social interaction.
Two Rivers Head Start is a Community Action Agency of Kane County. We help low-income families reach self-sufficiency through emergency assistance for families in crisis needing immediate aid, case management, prevention services, and scholarships. Our emergency services can cover: Rental and utility assistance, Vision, Dental, and medication assistance (Mercy pharmacy); Emergency transportation: car repair, bus vouchers. We can provide financial assistance to families for tutoring at the Huntington Tutoring Center. Our organization also promotes the Kindergarten readiness of young children aged 3-5 years for income-eligible families; Two Rivers Head Start is a Federal program that promotes the school readiness of children from birth to age five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Two Rivers Head Start serves children ages 3-5 year of age.
